Steven Tyler Injured at Concert
Aerosmith's Steven Tyler fell from the stage during a concert at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in western South Dakota. He was then airlifted to a hospital with head and neck injuries.Tyler fell off the stage shortly after the band began playing "Love In an Elevator." The sound system apparently cut out and the singer fell backwards and off the stage. He was helped up by security and taken backstage before being taken to the hospital.
Mike Sanborn of the Buffalo Chip Campground, where the concert was held said that Tyler's spirits were high as he was rushed away. "He was good matured about it," he told the Associated Press. "He was talking and joking with the physician."
This was the first time Aerosmith performed at the motorcycle rally and they were expected to draw the biggest crowd in history.
The seriousness of Tyler's condition is not yet known.
